Mission Statement

It is the mission of Boaz High School to provide a stable, safe environment in which to guide each student to reach his/her highest academic, social, and emotional potential.

Beliefs

Student learning is the chief priority for the school.

Students’ learning needs should be the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the school.

Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.

Students not only need to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.

Students need to apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission.

Our goals are to provide each student with a knowledge of and appreciation for the diverse global community; with the wisdom to participate as productive, caring citizens; and with a passion for life-long learning.

Boaz High School will challenge each student to set ambitious goals and to strive for these goals without fear of failure.
